My name is Matthias Virues, I am a 20 year old Canadian-Argentinian originally from Calgary Alberta. I created Crown Movement with the goal of bettering myself by giving myself a tangible thing to work on that I could grow, nourish and expand as I go through life. Crown is not only a clothing brand, it’s a mentality I’ve been developing over the past couple of years. Crown is a collection of individuals who share one common idea, self improvement.
I started my self-improvement journey in August of 2019 by losing 60 pounds over 5 months while doing exercise, running was my poison. I would run till my feet ached and blistered and my heart would explode out of my chest. I didn’t take a healthy approach to exercise, I was starving for a change in my life and I achieved that change by starving myself. I know better now that how I changed my appearance wasn’t the right way to go about it, but like many things nobody starts out knowing all the answers.
One thing was for sure I had cracked the code on my body weight and self image and once I saw I was capable of changing my appearance it lit a fire under my ass that carried me so much further. I learned how to eat properly, how to lift weights and do progressive overload to build muscle, and some of my greatest friendships were created in the gym. Exercise changed everything for me.
My goal with Crown Movement is to create a community of like minded individuals who want to help themselves. To be a part of something that serves a higher purpose. To continue to be inspired by those who seek inspiration and motivation. thank you for reading :)
